Please take a moment to read this before meeting with Tracey or the Aisle Do team because you may have many of the same questions others have asked at consultations and we can jump right into your wedding needs at our consultation if you already have these questions answered!

“How long have you been doing this and how did you become a wedding planner?”

I grew up in an artsy craftsy DIY family - before DIY was the buzz acronym!  I read “Art of the Party” as a teenager and thought “Wow – that is amazing!” and fell in love with event design and logistics.  So naturally I began taking college chemistry and biology courses.  I'm sure you're thinking that's not your typical wedding planner course load. But you don't want the typical wedding planner anyway -right!?

Thanks to those classes though, my problem solving strategies are top notch! I continued reading books and scouring magazines to satisfy my love of wedding planning and creative events!  When my course load became less stringent than my advisor perferred, he questioned if I really wanted the chemistry degree. And that's when it hit me - I was not diggin' the path I was on.

From there, my creative education took an eclectic path learning about various wedding elements.  I have taken numerous seminars in cakes, flowers and other wedding details - so if a 'worst case scenerio' happens, I actually know how to fix it so nobody knows - not even you!  And I have attended seminars led by a few of the best wedding planners in the Southeast.

Prior to opening my business, I planned events for family, friends and local organizations.  Aisle Do opened in spring 2009 achieving my dream to be a creative wedding planner and business owner.

I'm thrilled to be a current member of the Charlotte chapter of the National Association of Wedding Professionals

and will be applying for membership to the ABC  (Association of Bridal Consultants) in early 2012!

Everything sounds wonderful!    So can you tell me what makes you unique from other wedding planners?”

Aisle Do is my full time wedding planning, decor design and wedding coordination boutique. I will not squeeze planning your wedding into an already crazy and frazzling day job.

Your calls and emails will be returned promptly and your questions taken seriously!   Plus, you will eliminate searching through florists, caterers, banquet halls, photographers, and others while at work yourself!

You will actually enjoy preparing for your wedding instead of feeling overwhelmed or stressed out! You can be the relaxed, fresh and fabulous bride and I know how to help you do that!

You should probably know up front, I am strategic, detail oriented and feel an intense responsibility for everything I do.  I'm also a little quirky and like to have fun.

I experienced a defining moment, when I realized that my reception venue was not based on who I was, what I liked, the spectacular food, or even the price of services!  Then what the heck was it based on?  I chose it because that was the same type of place many other brides in my family had their receptions.

So in a nutshell, it was convenient.

Even though it was a lovely day and the food was great, the location had nothing to do with my wedding style or anything in my or my husband's personality!

However, this realization has given me the opportunity to examine how I can help couples avoid make the same mistake and instead create weddings that they have always dreamed!

I enjoy really getting to know you and your fiancé, (your parents too!) and determining your wedding style, your needs, your dreams, and your wedding budget so you will be partnered with the professionals who will not only meet, but will exceed your expectations.  I know how to create a luxurious wedding day that is stress free and fun so you can sit  engagement! And you, your families and your guests will enjoy every minute of your wedding day.

“This sounds like exactly what I want, but also sounds expensive.                               Are we going to be able to afford this?”

It's practically a cliche at this point, but I am sure you have read that it takes over 350 hours for a bride to plan a wedding.  But the nitty gritty is, it’s more than just the cliched adding up the hours.  Saving time and money is not a benefit if you're still stressed out.  Don't start a marriage feeling stressed and tense from planning the wedding.  Reducing stress in addition to that time savings is the magic mixture you will recieve when you work with me and my team!

We’ll have a lot of fun planning your wedding together but there is some serious business too! Everyone has a budget, whether it's $5,000 or $500,000. Managing your wedding budget is a service I take seriously because this is an investment you don't want to regret.

Sometimes brides who thought a wedding planner was ‘too expensive’ or not a priority, will end up increasing their budget because they don’t know where to focus and have too many ideas but not sure how to implement any of them. They are unsure of how to figure out how much they need.  Worse yet, the result to often is not enjoying their wedding day because they have to spend so much time preparing, setting up and managing the details rather than with their family and friends who really want to spend this precious time with them.

This doesn’t sound so expensive now does it?   The best thing we can do is make an appointment to get acquainted at a complimentary consultation to see how we can work together to create the wedding day you you have in mind!

“Who do you work best with?”

I love to work with brides who are fun loving and want to enjoy being in the moment, but don’t know where to begin or really need an extra hand to get the results they know they want.  If you are feeling like "OMGosh should we just elope? This wedding planning is driving me crazy!", or you need some new energy to continue planning your wedding, or maybe you have the vision but don't know where to start, don’t worry – you are exactly who I love to work with so contact me to schedule a 'get aquainted consultation'!

“Who would not benefit from your help?”

I have a passion for my business and truly love helping all kinds of brides make their wedding fun, stress free and stylish!  Everyone should get as much joy from their work as I do.  However, you and I really need relate to each other if we’re going to work well together in planning your wedding. We'll spend lots of time together and talking by phone.  So our time together should feel energizing to both of us!  That's why talking at a 'get acquainted consultation' works so well! At that meeting we'll enjoy getting to know each other and determine how we can best work together!

If you are still trying to figure out the value of a wedding planner or maybe you wonder if you really deserve to enjoy your wedding, then you need to evaluate how those issues make you feel before we have our get acquainted consultation.  I won’t be able to help you or create a stylish and stress free wedding until you do.

“Will I lose control of my wedding if you are planning it for me?”

No -not at all!  Your wedding should emulate your style and personality, not mine!  The best wedding planners become your personal advocate and creative partner, unlocking your potential so your wedding vision and style become clear.  No ifs, ands, or buts about it - you are completely in control of your wedding!

But I reserve the right to be excited and happy as we work on all the details - ok?  :)

“Will you work with the other professionals I have already found or that I really want to work with?”

Absolutely!   A big part of creating a low stress wedding is selecting the right wedding professionals for your style and budget.  We are happy to work with the wedding professionals you have already contracted or those you have hoped to contract because if we don't know them already, it's always fun to meet new people!

"Do you take more than one wedding per day?”

I will personally only work on one wedding per day. My commitment to you is to provide the best possible service. Attempting to personally juggle multiple events in one day would neither create 'good' service nor allow me to focus on you enjoying your day!

"Can we contact some of your former clients to see what it’s like to work with you?”

Yes! Past brides, grooms and parents are always honored to speak to you about their experience with Aisle Do! Contact information will be provided to you at the 'get aquainted' consulation.

You can also read comments from couples and even their guests when you visit the testimonials page

Are you thinking: “This sounds like everything we’ve been looking for. How do we take the next step?"

The next step is to schedule a complimentary get aquainted consulation!  We'll talk about your wedding vision for about an hour and determine how we can best work together.  Please email me or give me a call at 704-309-2474

Are you thinking “We have a couple more questions before getting started. Can I call you to find out more?”

Yes- Please do!  Every wedding we produce is made-to-order for each couple. Please feel free to call me with any questions you have at 704-309-2474 or email me. I’ll be glad to discuss your wedding planning needs further.
